Dog Vaccinations
Puppies should be given their first booster at or around the age of 8
weeks. And should receive a total of 3 boosters over a four week period.
(8 weeks, 10 weeks & 12 weeks of age) This is also a good time to worm
them on the same schedule.
Our Canine Vaccine is a Fort Dodge product. The Distemper Vaccine is
actually a 5 way + Lepto Vaccine. This means it is protecting your dog
from 6 deadly diseases. (Distemper, Parvo, Leptovirus, Parainfluenza,
Canine Hepatitis and Canine Adenovirus). The puppy vaccine also has
Coronavirus. This vaccination should be given yearly.
We offer 1 year and 3 year Rabies Vaccinations. Your pets first
vaccination will only be good for 1 year. (dogs need to build a good
Immune response for the vaccine to last longer) From that point on you
can receive the 3 year Vaccination.
We also offer Lymes Vaccinations to protect your dog from Lyme Disease
carried by Deer Ticks. And Bordatella Vaccinations to protect your dog
from Kennel Cough. These are both yearly Vaccinations.
Rabies vaccinations are
required for both dogs and cats
in the State of Iowa.

You will also need proof
(Rabies Certificate or receipt)
that your pet is current on their
Rabies Vaccination in order to
register them with the
City of
Perry.
To help you protect
your Pet, we have added
information pages.
